Ventura Mandala 2024, Diamond Compass Rose

The 2024 Ventura Community Mandala, the first MMM Mandala in Ventura, 40-ft Diameter in downtown Ventura, in front of the San Buenaventura mission.

It was painted on September 19 & 20, 2024 with the Ojai Dy Mandala Crew, Ventura residents and visitors and Holy Cross School students.  The City Of Ventura allowed it to live for one month and it was washed off October 21, allowed to last for one month.

Laying out the pattern. For this mandala we had 2 pages of layout instructions (this was a fairly easy layout) and we made cardboard templates and pre-measured strings for quick marking.That's River in the green on the left and on the right in pink,  Evergreen, my creative partner. She's using a cardboard ruler to mark straight lines.
