Custom Made Urban Portfolio

You can choose the Urban Portfolio in the fabric you want. Select your favorite from our list of fabrics and it will be specially created and made by hand, with great care - just for you!  It takes about 4 to 6 weeks to have your custom order made and delivered to your doorstep.

After a business trip to New York City I went home and designed the Urban Portfolio. I found that my regular tote bag and purse were too bulky for the crowded settings in public transportation so I created the this bag to be carried streamlined against the body, with a place for paperwork and another for purse items and no exterior pockets.

This tapestry shoulder bag has two vertical compartments that close with zippers and are lined with our waterproof nylon lining fabric. The zippers have two sliders so they can be opened from either side. The front compartment zips across the front with two pockets inside just behind the opening and is larger at the bottom to hold more incidentals.

The second compartment is flat, zips at the top and will hold your laptop computer or up to three-inch thickness of papers. This compartment will also hold purse items, a small laptop or tablet. This tapestry purse has a one-inch wide fabric shoulder strap, covered in fabric and is adjustable with two metal rings.

The Urban Portfolio’s streamlined silhouette, adjustable strap and two compartments make this unbeatable when it comes to versatility.

A Note About Our Construction And Washability

Since 1989 River Sauvageau has been designing and creating high quality bags in luxe fabrics with elegant and practical styling. With an emphasis on construction detail never seen by the end user, her bags have proven to please for almost three decades now.

The whole line has been designed and made to be machine washable, a great boon with fabric bags. Machine wash in cold water with mild detergent and air dry. Dirt and skin oils can wear on fibers therefore washing your bags occasionally, especially if used daily, will extend their life.

No leather is used on these vegan bags.
